PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF NAMIBIA

No. 43 2021

ANNOUNCEMENT IN TERMS OF ARTICLE 32(8) OF NAMIBIAN CONSTITUTION
OF CONFERMENT OF CERTAIN HONOURS ON LATE MARCO MUKOSO HAUSIKU:
NAMIBIAN CONSTITUTION

In terms of Sub-Article (8) of Article 32 of the Namibian Constitution, I announce that I have, under
the powers vested in me by Sub-Article (3)(h) of that Article read with section 3(1) and 4 of the
Conferment of National Honours Act, 2012 (Act No. 11 of 2012) -

(a) conferred the honour of National Hero on the late Marco Mukoso Hausiku, born on 25
November 1953 and died on 26 August 2021; and

(b) directed that -

(i) a State Funeral be held in honour of the late Marco Mukoso Hausiku;

(ii) the remains of the late Marco Mukoso Hausiku be interred at the Heroes Acre,
Windhoek District, Khomas Region on Saturday, 11 September 2021; and
